Reflection...
"We bless this space and each other with our intention for connection.
May this truly be a sanctuary that radiates with the warmth of relationship. May it be a place that nurtures and sustains human kinship,
offering shelter and comfort, and creating bonds of affection and care.
May it provide opportunities for collaboration and
interfaith work that does not end at these walls,
but reaches out into the larger community and world.
May we be woven ever more artfully and lovingly
into the interconnected web of life of which we are all a part."
- Sandra Frees, UUA Worship Web
Friends, as the cycle of our services on forgiveness culminates this Sunday in a beautiful ritual of blessing I learned at the MidAmerica Regional Assembly, I invite you, from the bottom of my heart to join with us in healing, blessing and celebration. For the last few weeks we have laid the groundwork for this moment of welcoming each other into (or back into) one another's hearts.
Prior to the service, the family of Bill Wells will be with us to greet the congregation starting at 9:30 AM. Following the service, we are offering a light brunch for adults and pizza for the children so we can enter the Annual Meeting feeling fed physically, intellectually and spiritually.
Additionally, at the Annual Meeting, we are very honored that we will be awarding the first ever "John Ort Spirit of Welcome Award". What a great celebration of a wonderful man.
Please join us for a very special UUCGT day. I welcome you with all my heart.
In blessing -
Rabbi Chava

How does our garden grow, this community of love?
We each plant seeds that blossom forth, and harvest the fruits thereof.
How does our garden grow? With stewardship and care:
Our hearts and spirits take their strength from our gifts freely shared.
Families, please have children remain with you in the sanctuary during this short service. Thank you.
