Commencement

Clothed in gown and hat, the 2017 graduating class was ushered into their next chapter of life. Family, friends, school mates, and teachers packed into the multipurpose room to commemorate this moment. As tradition, class speakers remembered their time at LPA, took time to reflect on the moment of graduation, and looked forward to the future. Following, Ms. Bishop and Mr. Spratley encouraged the graduates to face fears and take on challenges as they move out into the world. At the moving of their tassels, the class of 2017 became Lake Pointe's largest class to graduate. Nineteen young adults walked across the stage with eleven receiving LPA diplomas and eight receiving certificates of completion.

Lost and Found
With the end of the school year, LPA staff have begun the process of cleaning campus. This will include the donation of any left lost-and-found items. If you find that you are missing an item from the school year, stop by the school before June 20 during normal school hours--Tues and Thurs from 9-3. Also, feel free to call the school on those days if you are unable to come up. Anything left unclaimed after Tuesday, June 20 will be donated to a local charity.

Starting off Summer
Elementary grades came together one last time this school year to celebrate their year well accomplished. After each grade performed a small bit of what they had learned through the year, teachers present awards for Christ-like qualities they witnessed in their students. As tradition, the ceremony was concluded with the sixth graders "willing" behind special items and skills to those they will be leaving behind next year. This year's graduating class gave a signed soccer ball to the elementary students as their departing gift.

Secondary students unwind from their final exams of the semester with a fun filled water balloon fight Friday afternoon. After the hard work of finishing the semester well, time for socializing and resting was appreciated by one and all. A big thanks to the student council members who organized and executed each student life event this year!

Around the classroom

From the Class Room to the Theme Park
M rs. Smith's physics class and friends visited Carowinds as a end of the school year to observe science in action. While at the theme park, physics students experienced the theories and laws they have studied through the various rides and games.
