Now celebrating it's 8th year, the Melbourne International Singers Festival showcases world renowned artists, performers and educators in the magnificent venues in Melbourne's art precinct.
 
Richard Gill AO
We are thrilled to announce that our guest conductor this year is one of Australia's pre-eminent and most admired conductors, Richard Gill AO, founding Music Director and Conductor Emeritus of Victoria Opera. Richard will lead our massed choir rehearsals, workshops & concerts over the festival weekend. 
Richard specialises in opera, musical theatre and vocal & choral training and is internationally respected as a music educator.  His work in developing young musicians and creating opportunities for them is recognised worldwide.

MISF 2017 will see a new range of musical opportunities for singers and choirs to workshop & perform at our festival home, Deakin Edge Theatre in Federation Square and Melbourne Recital Centre plus many beautiful venues - to be announced.

Richard Gill AO leads our stunning Festival Finale on the Queen's Birthday holiday, Monday 12th June, with our glorious 400 voice Massed Festival Chorus as we raise our voices and wave our flags to celebrate the Best of British music!

Dr Jonathon Welch AM, founding artistic director of Melbourne International Singers Festival, leads the School of Hard Knocks new men's choir program, MEN ALOUD! at MISF 2017.
 

Melbourne International Singers Festival is open to all choirs and individual singers, with amazing opportunities to sing in the festival showcase concerts and massed choirs!
