Southeast Gas was formed in January of 1952 to provide natural gas service to the cities of Andalusia, Abbeville, Brundidge, Dothan, Elba, Enterprise, Eufaula, Fort Deposit, Greenville, Headland, Luverne, Opp, Ozark and Troy. Each of those cities owned, and still owns, an equal share of the gas district, and continues to be represented equally on the Southeast Gas Board of Directors.
Southeast Gas now serves 30,000 residential, commercial and industrial customers in 34 communities throughout the Southeast quadrant of Alabama.
ACRE's core purpose is to advance the real estate industry in Alabama by providing relevant resources in the areas of research, education and outreach.
