Rose is a wine that runs a spectrum of flavors and colors (see picture below). Rose can be made 3 different ways, the vast majority of the roses we carry are dry wines. If you are a wine fan and you have not had your fill of Rose stop in! These are wines you need to be familiar with. These fantastic wines are perfect for the patio and pool. These wines pair perfectly with cannonballs, water skiing, & hole in ones. They also pair perfectly with mulching, picking weeds, & mowing grass, believe me I know!

Three Ways to Produce Rose

1.  Contact (Maceration)Red grapes are pressed just like they are in red wine production. Only difference is the juice is drained off after hours of skin contact. The length of time the juice sits with the skins determines the depth of color. We love this production process the most because the grapes cared for and harvested are specifically grown to make stunningly gorgeous rose wines. These are the wines we carry and focus on!

2. Bleeding (Saignée)- This method is the same as maceration, except they only draw off part of the juice.  The rose is considered a by product because they are trying to make the juice left on the skins will become a more concentrated red wine with even deeper color.

3. BlendingA small amount of red wine is added to white wine to create a rosé. This is not a legal way to do it in most of the EU. This is considered to be one of the cheapest ways to make rose.
