Pre-School Graduation
Thank you to everyone who helped make our annual fundraiser a success. Thank you so much to Mrs. Zuli Mashiah, the event chair, who put in countless hours of hard work to ensure the success of the evening. There were so many people who helped out in so many ways from making phone calls, soliciting silent auction items, helping with the event and patron campaign and of course to all those who participated by attending and/ or by making donations. Please see the event journal with a list of all participants and volunteers. We had over 200 people in attendance which included many Akiva Alumni. The audience was treated to a slideshow going through the past year's highlights, the Akiva Boys Choir, Who Wants to be  an Akivanaire game show debut, a silent auction and a live auction of student artwork. Patrons enjoyed reminiscing about 36 years of Akiva highlighted by passionate and moving speeches by our honorees. Guests left with a personalized 36 chocolate souvenir along with pictures from the Photobooth and clothesline of pictures from Akiva throughout the years.

Pre-School Graduation
Our Pre-School Students had a wonderful experience going to the House of Jacob on a big yellow school bus. They presented Mrs. Rose with beautiful flowers in honour of Shavuot and Rabbi Miller showed them the big Mezuza, a Talit, and his Tefillin. The Students sang their Tefillah with Morah Miller inside the shul and then Rabbi Greenwald showed each of them the inside of a Sefer Torah. They each got to find the first letter of their name! Afterwards, the students sand beautiful songs with Morah Corinne in the Kiddush room followed by graduation gifts for each student. We all enjoyed yummy ice cream sandwiches in honour of Shavuot. Thank you to all the teachers for their hard work in preparing for this special day!
