What's Happening at The Academies?

Jun 2 -- MINIMUM DAY

Jun 2 -- Middle School Art Show

Jul 17-21 -- Camp Invention

August 16 -- First Day of 2017-18 Academic Year

From all of us here at The Academies, have a wonderful summer!
SVA Students Featured at First Friday Art Hop

Our middle school student's PBL, Issues of Our Time, is showing at the Art's Consortium (300 E. Oak St., Visalia) tonight as part of Visalia's First Friday Art Hop. The show will run through the end of June.

We are extremely proud of how hard these kids worked and how much ownership the took of their own learning.  It would be a huge compliment to them if you went and checked out their show!

Issues of Our Time consists of art pieces made by students, from Sycamore Valley Academy Charter School, responding to the main question, "How can we as artists respond to issues of our time?". Everyone is welcome to join us while the art pieces are on show. The show is free of charge so just stop by, give some feedback, and look at how Sycamore Valley Academy students found ways to represent society's problem through public art.

Parents, we want to hear from you!

Each year we ask for your feedback about how well our school is meeting your child's needs and your expectations. Please set aside some time (about 10-15 minutes) to respond to our Parent Satisfaction Survey. Your responses are valuable to us, please take our survey by June 10.   Click here to access the anonymous survey.

We truly value your input and are watching for your responses. We've only heard from a handful of you so far. Please take a few minutes to complete this survey today. Thank you!
Blue Oak News

Welcome Blue Oak Families! Come and join us for a couple of hours at Roller Towne to celebrate the opening of our new school. Even "non-skaters" can take advantage of this great opportunity to get to meet other Blue Oak families before school starts.   June 11 4:30-6:30PM
Every student attending the Roller Towne party who has their paperwork completed will receive a free "I Love Blue Oak" t-shirt. (If yours isn't complete yet, no worries. Come that night, fill it out, and your child will still receive one!) Pass on the word: we have a few second grade spots left. If they want to sign up asap, they can also join our celebration. Can't wait to meet you all there!
