WEEKLY PROGRESS
On Wednesday, May 10
, community members gathered at
Cheyenne
to review designs for a new gymnasium, classroom building and front office. Much of the conversation centered on a new, two-lane, drop-off system, which is still a work in progress. Based on community feedback, the design team will take a closer look at the plan. One option, suggested by Principal Grace Stombres, would change the way students enter the campus to ensure safety while still keeping traffic off of the street.
Also this week, we got a clearer picture of exactly what improvements will be made at each and every SUSD school, not just the major rebuilds. You can view the list of projects underway for your school by clicking on the learning community links on
bond.susd.org.
Coming soon,
Hohokam will select members for its rebuild committee. Interested parents, teachers and neighbors can sign up in the school's front office or at the May 22 community meeting.
