CLASS OF 2017 COMMENCEMENT CEREMONY
The Class of 2017 Commencement Ceremony will be held on Saturday, May 20th at 4:00 pm in the Louise Robinson Moorer Center for Performing Arts on the University Campus.  

We invite you to join us as we celebrate our seniors and all that they have accomplished. Doors open at 3:00 pm.

CASH BASH SUCCESS
We're still tabulating proceeds and expenses, but we wanted to thank you for your support of this year's CASH BASH and let you know that we are approaching $70,000 in proceeds for the school!  A huge thank you, AGAIN, to the volunteers who organized the event and to those of you who supported it!  You will be receiving a brief survey shortly...please take the time to respond.  Our 2017 committee wants your feedback!
COLOR GUARD?
Any students in rising grades 8-12 interested in starting a Color Guard are asked to meet with Mrs. Deal in the Band Room after school on Friday, May 5th.

 

ZOGHBY'S UNIFORM SALE - DISCOUNT WEEK

Don't forget Zoghby's will be on our campuses next week to assist you with fittings and orders for uniforms.  Items ordered/purchased during the week (at the on campus fittings or the stores) are 10% off.  As a reminder: No hooded sweatshirts will be permitted on the Middle and Upper School Campus next year.

5th GRADERS HAVE BEEN BUSY

Our fifth graders had a special guest speaker.

The 5th grade Ambassadors, lead by Mrs. Thompson, sponsored a Save the Manatees Movie Night! Our ambassadors lead games, served dinner, and organized the event. We are so proud of their leadership skills, dedication to our school, and finding a way to have fun while helping save the manatees. 

100% ANNUAL FUND PARTICIPATION

Mrs. Phillips 5th grade class and Mrs. Jackson's K3 class both had 100% parent participation for this year's Mother Oak Annual Fund and received ice cream parties!  Thank you to all of the parents who participated this year.  Your participation makes a difference for our school and for our children, faculty and staff!   

YOUTH SUMMER SPORTS CAMPS

St. Luke's is proud to boast some of the best varsity coaches in the area: coaches who know their stuff and enjoy working with kids of all ages, coaches who understand the  important role that athletics play in a child's life,.coaches who LOVE what they do!
  
Our youth summer sports camps are open to any child in rising grades 3-6.  


Our coaches emphasize  good sportsmanship and cooperative learning and are assisted by student athletes.  Camps, excluding Tennis Camp, are held on the Middle and Upper School Campus  at 1400 S. University Blvd. Camp times are 9:00 am until 12:00 pm unless otherwise noted. The cost of each camp is $75 per athlete. Registration is available online at www.YDLsports.net.


CAMP WILDCAT REGISTRATION IS NOW OPEN
Registration is open for Camp Wildcat, a fun-filled day camp for children in rising grades PK3 - 6th. The  Junior Camp serves children ages 3 through 5 (rising K3, K4 and K5), and the Senior Camp serves rising 1st through 6th graders. Weekly themes provide exciting activities and enrichment classes include library, computer, science, Spanish, and art.   J unior campers enjoy on-site activities,  senior campers attend field trips and swim once a week. "Water Slide Wednesdays" are always a hit and everyone gets to participate! Camp Wildcat is open to anyone... spread the word to family, friends and co-workers!  REGISTRATION FORM AND DETAILED INFO may also be downloaded from the front page of the school's website.
 
 
ATHLETICS
BOYS GOLF TEAM WINDS SUB-STATE and LOOKS AHEAD

Congratulations to the Boys Golf Team for their #1 finish at the Sub-State Tournament.  They will be competing at the State Championship Tournament next week. 
 RED-BLACK and GREENS are a GREAT combination! 
ARCHERY FINISHES THE YEAR
Our archery teams had a terrific year. The high school team placed 1st, 2nd or 3rd in all of the local tournaments, including a 2nd place at Regionals. All three SLES teams advanced to the State competition. The high school and elementary teams qualified for Nationals.   

Chase Swearingen was the top scorer for the high school team with a 277.8 avg. Nick Stuart had a 285 in competition this year and Tiernan McGuire finished the year with an average of 277.2. Alli Kangal was the top female scorer for the high school team with a 268.7 average.     The top middle school scorers were male Gavin Kelly (273) and female Taylor Smith (261).   Top elementary team scorers were male Daniel Grafton (247) and female Madelyn Audia (224).




BASEBALL PLAYOFFS
Congratulation to our Baseball team for a great season.  While it ended sooner than we would have liked it was a great run! 

GIRLS GOLF 
The St. Luke's Lady Golfers season came to a close at the Sub State Tournament in Montgomery.   Emmy Musial paced the Wildcats with an 88, but was 4 shots short of qualifying.  Her 4th place individual finish led the Wildcats  on Tuesday . Great season girls!
