Sean Callahan​, the ​president and CEO of Catholic Relief Services​ will be speaking at the Fletcher School as part of the Religion, Law and Diplomacy Conference. ​Catholic Relief Services is ​​the official international humanitarian agency of the Catholic community in the United States. A 28-year veteran of CRS, Sean, had held a wide variety of leadership roles overseas and at agency headquarters. For the past 5 years, Sean served as the chief operating officer for CRS, responsible for Overseas Operations, U.S. Operations and Human Resources. In this role, h​e​ ensured CRS’ commitment to its mission to cherish, preserve and uphold the sacredness and dignity of all human life, foster charity and justice, and embody Catholic social and moral teaching. He enhanced performance, stimulated innovation and positioned CRS for the future. Callahan holds a master’s degree in law and diplomacy from the Fletcher School and a bachelor’s degree from Tufts University.

FACULTY SPOTLIGHT:
DGH Faculty: Peter Rockers & Veronika Wirtz presented at the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine meeting on Exploring Partnership Governance in Global Health . Their session focused on the measurement of access to medicines programs. They presented a measurement framework that they developed together with Richard Laing and a team at BU as part of a project to evaluate the Access Accelerated initiative . The organizers of the meeting highlighted their work as an important contribution in setting standards for evaluating the performance of global health partnerships.
