Administrative Appointments
Boise, ID -- (05/15/2017) -- Boise School District is pleased to announce the following administrative appointments, effective beginning the 2017-18 school year. 

Kelly Fossceco - Assistant Principal, Boise High School

Kelly Fossceco has served Idaho's public school students for 27 years. During that time she has worked as a Secondary School Teacher and Coach (Glenns Ferry High School, Minico High School and Boise High School), Summer High School Principal (Boise School District), Intern Elementary School Principal (Grace Jordan and Amity), Assistant Principal (Borah High School), and Assistant Principal (Riverglen Junior High School).  Kelly served as a Head Volleyball Coach for 19 years and Head Softball Coach for 8 years.  In addition, she was the lead person in the Accreditation process for Borah High School and helped lead the transition of the Bridge program to Borah High School. This year, Ms. Fossceco  oversaw the Committee for implementing the new law for Bully/Harassment discipline procedures for Boise School District, and she currently serves on the District's Safety and Security Committee.

Ms. Fossceco is a dedicated education professional who is committed to the District's Vision of seeing that each and every student has the opportunity to succeed beyond high school, by attending college, seeking a career and becoming a contributing member of society.  

Ms. Fossceco has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Secondary Education from Boise State University and a Master of Education Degree in Administration from the University of Idaho.  

Ms. Fossceco will begin serving as Assistant Principal at Boise High School beginning the start of the 2017-18 school year.  



Bill McKitrick - Assistant Principal, Riverglen Junior High School

Bill McKitrick has served Idaho's public school children for 24 years. During that time, he has worked as a Special Education Teacher (Mountain Home School District and Boise School District - 1993-1995), Whittier Elementary School (1995-1999) and Les Bois Junior High School (1999-2007),  Assistant Principal (Les Bois Junior High School - 2007-2009) and Borah High School (2009-2011), Principal (Liberty Elementary School - 2011-2013), Les Bois Junior High School 2013-2014, and currently Assistant Principal (Dennis Career Technical Education Center - 2014 to present).

Mr. McKitrick is a professional educator who is dedicated to the success of each and every student. He is committed to the District's Strategic Plan Vision of preparing students for success beyond high school, whether it's excelling in college studies, career or citizenship.  Mr. McKitrick believes in establishing a positive school culture of open communication with students, parents and staff members.  

Mr. McKitrick earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Secondary Education from Boise State University, a Master of Arts Degree in Special Education from Boise State University and an Education Specialist Degree in Educational Administration from the University of Idaho.

Mr. McKitrick will serve as Assistant Principal, Riverglen Junior High School, beginning the start of the 2017-18 school year.



Benjamin Simmonds - District Music and Art Supervisor

Benjamin Simmonds has served public school students since 2002.  He began his career as a 4th and 5th Grade Music Specialist in the San Francisco Unified School District (2002-04), then worked as a Music Teacher in the Nampa School District (Central and Lincoln Elementary Schools - 2004-06) before moving to the Boise School District, where he has taught music to secondary students at Capital High School (Director of Choirs, AP Theory Instructor and Guitar Instructor - 2006 - 2015) and currently serves as Assistant Principal at Boise High School (2015 -present).

Mr. Simmonds is a committed and admired educator whose background includes working with a wide range of secondary students in different academic environments.  His focus is on providing each student with the opportunities to succeed both in school and in life.  Mr. Simmonds is a strong communicator and has a solid record in working with parents, students, colleagues and school community members in establishing a positive school culture of success.

Mr. Simmonds earned his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Music Vocal Performance from Linfield College, a Bachelor of Music Degree in K-12 Education with emphasis in Choral Music from Boise State University and Master of Arts Degree in Educational Leadership from the University of Idaho.
