In This Issue:
Romeo and Juliet
For our final junior high performance of the school year, the 7th and 8th grade drama students, under the direction of Mr. Halkyard, enchanted audience members with the classic love story, Romeo and Juliet. The small cast of 10 students were able to captivate their audience as they performed an abbreviated version of the love story. We were so proud of all of their hard work; proving that even a small cast, when they put their hearts and minds into it, can be truly amazing.

Faculty Spotlight - Katrina Rodin
Katrina Rodin is wrapping up her second year teaching 2nd grade. She loves the North Tustin campus for the genuine caring and support that goes on each and every day. Ms. Rodin enjoys the satisfaction of knowing she is building foundational skills for our little ones. The idea of reading to learn begins to take shape in 2nd grade and watching the children grow and develop in those essential skills is one of her favorite parts of the school year.
She completed her undergraduate degree in liberal studies at Cal State Fullerton. She then went on to complete her Masters in Education from Pepperdine University.

Ms. Rodin loves her dog and spending time with her family and friends.

Faculty Spotlight - June Huang
June Huang began her journey at Fairmont 12 years ago. She began at the North Tustin Campus teaching ASSIST and then moved into our junior high where she has been teaching English and literature. Mrs. Huang received her undergraduate degree in English and her Masters in Education from Chapman University. She loves the different personalities of her students, the supportive parents, and enjoys her small class sizes. The small classes allow her to truly engage with her students and be very creative. Mrs. Huang has three children of her own and spends her free time enjoying her family, hiking, going to amusement parks, or going out to eat. She loves ice cream and her favorite flavor is...honey lavender.

Husky Highlight
Congratulations, Class of 2017!

Congratulations to the Class of 2017! It feels like it was yesterday they walked onto campus as 9th graders. A short four years later and they are ready for the next chapter of their lives. Mr. Dunn said it best on Tuesday, May 23 at the Senior Farewell, "Try new things. Take a class you wouldn't normally take, participate in activities on your college campus, and get to know your professors." We will miss the Class of 2017 but we look forward to seeing them when they visit and hearing about the amazing things they are accomplishing. Go Huskies!

Re-Enrollment
There are just a few families left who haven't re-enrolled. If you are one of those families, please let Mrs. Jansen know when to expect your child's contract to ensure we have the space for you. Many of our grades are at capacity and our phone is constantly ringing with calls from new families.
