On our path . . .

I am so very thankful for the wonderful turnout for our Grand Opening Event. We had so many wonderful friends stop by and share their support, as well as those who came in for the first time. I want to give Special Thanks to Carol from Quiznos. She did a wonderful job on the setup and goodies for the event. She helped make the day wonderful!

I want to thank those who donated the wonderful prizes for our event. Big Pine Quilts donated one of our grand prizes. Juggernaut Arms donated the other grand prize. Foothill Fireplace Pools & Spas, Aloha Quilt Shop, E.E. Schenck, and Katie M. With all your help and generous donations, we had just a wonderful event! "THANK YOU ALL!"

I truly could not have done any of this without the wonderful support of my friends & family members. Thank You Marilyn, Doug, Day & Carrie! Your support and encouragement was absolutely what I needed to keep grounded. You helped keep me focused and always going forward. "Thank You!"

Now that the party is over, there is so much we want to offer to you, our friends and customers! Thank You for bringing this wonderful dream to life. I have started updating the class schedules and posting them on the website. I have been asked many times by my cohorts to get a list of classes printed for the shop. I am working on it, but I am still trying to get my feet back under me after this huge expansion. We are bringing in some wonderful instructors to help us out and share with you, special techniques in quilting, embroidery and sewing. I am truly impressed with their work and I hope you find them as helpful and talented as I do.

As we travel the road of life, we enjoy the moments we share. We anticipate the adventure that is coming just over the next hill, yet, always cherishing the people and experiences we've just had. Thank You for taking this ride with us . . . .

Memorial Day

The shop will be open on Monday, May 29th.

Row by Row - 2017 . . .

Can you believe that Row by Row is just around the corner? The official kick-off date is June 21, 2017. The full experience goes from June 21st through September 5th, 2017. During this time, visit a participating shop and pick up the free Row by Row pattern that the shop has to offer. Many of the shops are also offering kits to make their rows, giving you a head start in completing your Row by Row quilt. Be the first to bring in your completed quilt to a shop who has not had a winner yet and win the prize (25 fat quarter bundle). You can bring in your completed quilt between June 21st and October 31st, 2017 to see if you can win.

The full list of participating shops in this year's Row by Row Experience and complete rules and information can be found on the Row by Row National Website. For a list of the Nevada shops, please take a look at the Nevada site.

Just so you know, this year, Topaz Quilting & Embroidery is also offering the Ninth Row Pattern. Our row reveal will be on June 5th, 2017. Stop by the shop then to get a first peek at this years row.
Earth Angels are looking for your help . . .

Attention Ladies . . .

Would you like to make a difference within our community?

The Earth Angels are looking for volunteers to help sew quilt tops. These tops are then made into blankets which go to places like the Reno Ronald McDonald House, St Mary's Hospital and many more places.
We are having a meet and greet on July 12th at 10:30 at the new location of Topaz Quilting and Embroidery shop. Come in to visit and pick up your kit. These kits are already cut and ready for you to sit down and sew. There is no charge for the kit.

Please remember we can all make a difference one child at a time.
Hope to see you.

Earth Angels Mission Baby Project

Beginning Embroidery / BOM . . .

We have been asked to set up a beginning embroidery class for those who have purchased an embroidery machine and want to put it through the paces. We have found a perfect project to put together. This will be a 7 month course. The class will be offered 2 times a month for each block. You will complete 6 blocks of your choice and put them together to create a wall hanging, centerpiece or table runner.  We are using Baltimore Album Blocks by  San Francisco Stitch . We can sell you the designs or you can download them directly from San Francisco Stitch. The final class will go over assembling the blocks. There are a few ways you can do it and they will be touched on during the orientation and detailed in class #7.

The designs can be purchased for $39.99 for all 12 designs or can be purchased individually for $4.99 each.   The day of orientation, you will be required to bring your stick so we can download the design(s) you have chosen or the full design pack (if you are purchasing the designs from us).

Signups will be in the store only at this time. This will allow you a chance to see the samples hanging on the announcement  board and will give us a better understanding of your needs if we can talk to you in person. This class series is open to a single class if you only wish to attend one class. Students who have taken the full series will receive priority placement in class #7. The rest will be a first come, first serve policy. Thank you for your understanding.
