The  photo contest was aimed at promoting Alaska among Russian and other international tourists as a world-class destination. 

The first place winner is Nathaniel Wilder with his winning photo "Native Iñupiaq Eskimo woman and her son in the Arctic" (see below). He will receive two, free roundtrip air tickets from Anchorage to Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky or Yakutsk, Russia on Yakutia Airlines.
