...it's a safe bet that you wouldn't want your house going through an earthquake without its foundation bolts well secured either!
The photo on the right shows a foundation plate that was installed by a local foundation company, within the past year, but which never had its actual fastener nuts installed on it! This is, quite literally, like rolling down the road with no lug-nuts on the wheels, in terms of the installed hardware and its ability to hold the house onto the foundation when in fact it was never secured in place.
These types of scenes are far too common, and never cease to amaze; mistakes like this are simply inexcusable.
Be sure that anytime you have anyone working on your house, any part of it, that they truly are qualified to do so. Foundation or otherwise, the same concept applies. Check references, go on-line and read on-line reviews from other consumers, ask around for referrals from friends, do your homework so that you really are well enough educated on a given subject to be more likely to avoid ending up with the level of care we see in the photo above.
