Just 9 weeks to go until the Bike Rally!
FUNDRAISING: Moving Into High Gear
A big shout-out to everyone working hard to reach their fundraising goals. Keep up the great work!

If you haven't quite gotten started, it's time to get a wiggle on.

Let all your friends, family, neighbours, colleagues and service providers know about your commitment and why it matters to you. They'll be eager to hear how the training is going and will be happy to support you. Just ask!

Remember, it takes a community. We may be a smaller group this year, but we are mighty. PWA's clients are counting on us.

It's the BIG MEETING and Social!
When:  Sunday June 4, 2017
Time:  12:30-3:00pm
Where: The 519 ( 519 Church St.)

It's just nine weeks until Departure Day! Whether you're a 1-Day Ride participant or a 6-Day Ride participant, plan to attend the Big Meeting to help you prepare and learn all about this year's ride.

You'll want to be there to find out all about this adventure - where we'll be departing from in Toronto, our arrival location in MontrĂ©al, theme days and the schedule of night-time camp events. Of course, 1-Day Riders will learn all about their big day!

The Big Meeting is a Bike Rally tradition that is a must-attend! Plan to be there.  A social will follow at The Lodge (518 Church St, above O'Grady's). Come have a bite and some drinks with familiar and not so familiar faces, and get to know them all!

GET BIKE RALLY READY!

FLAT-FIX WORKSHOP
When: Sunday June 4, 2017
Time: 10:30am-12:00pm (Right before the Big Meeting)
Where: The 519 (519 Church St.)

This is a mandatory workshop for first-year Riders - including 1-Day Riders!

Most of us have a flat tire at one point or another so be sure you know how to fix them! Here's your chance to learn.

Space is limited, so sign up early! Also, it's a hands-on clinic, so bring your bike.

P ROPER TRAINING INCLUDES HEALTHY EATING
In addition to a regular riding routine, a good training program should include healthy eating. Read some helpful reminders about nutrition to fuel your training rides and the Rally itself.

Also, learn about proper vitamins and minerals for athletes which can help make your cycling experience that much better!

BIKE RALLY BITS AND BOBS
TRAINING RIDE BBQS START JUNE 10th
Now that we are riding further away from food, it is time for the Bike Rally barbecues! Beginning on the June 10th ride, we will be doing a barbecue at the designated break spot. The barbecue typically consists of hamburgers, chicken burgers, veggie burgers, a variety of salads (may include macaroni, bean, garden, potato, etc.) and of course, all the water you need. Cost is $9 and all the funds raised are donated to PWA.
