Your Weekly School Update
January 12, 2018
Students in K-8 enjoyed an interdisciplinary presentation from members of the New Bedford Symphony Orchestra's Learning in Concert program which this year explores the concept of balance in music and ecology.
This week's adventures...
This past week finally allowed us the opportunity to gain some momentum and readjust from the Christmas break and snow days. Due to the Martin Luther King holiday on Monday, AND a professional development opportunity for our teachers on Tuesday, we approach yet another very short week! Thanks to a Carney Family Foundation Seed Fund Grant opportunity, our teachers will able to learn more about the Responsive Classroom model of developing classroom management and culture. Our teachers will be exposed to tips and tools for creating a safe, joyful and engaging learning community that is conducive to maximum learning opportunities. While the day off is an unexpected schedule change, the impact that the training will potentially have on our school is certainly worth it! Thank you for your support and understanding.

Our annual Open House will be here in no time, and for that reason we are sending home Re-registration Forms in your child's Friday Folder today. Please be mindful of the fact that we offer our current families the opportunity to secure their spot(s) in our school, prior to opening our doors to the public on Sunday, January 28th. With many of our classes close to capacity, it is important that we determine our families' commitment to returning, in order to predict the number of open seats we may have, as new families inquire.

You will notice on the forms sent home today that tuition for the 2018-2019 school year was increased. This slight increase was prayerfully and thoughtfully determined as we continue to expand our academic offerings, professional development and our ability to validate our teachers' through salary increase. We fully realize that a Catholic education is an investment, and we are committed to our families receiving a solid return on such a sacrifice. If you have any questions, concerns, or financial needs as we enter into securing spots for the 2018-2019 school year, please do not hesitate to call the school office.
Have a wonderful long weekend and God bless~
