Rev. MLK, Jr. Dinner and Production
Sunday, Jan. 14 at 4pm

Legend has it that Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and other civil rights leaders organized marches at the tables of Pascal's Restaurant in Atlanta in the 1960s.   The conversations they might have had will be depicted on Sunday, January 14 at a dinner theater presentation at the Wesley Community Service Center in Portsmouth.   This is a sit-down, fried chicken dinner, with the dramatic production presented right in front of you!

The $10 donation/ticket goes 100% to the Wesley Center, which is a mission of the United Methodist Women and supported by our Elizabeth River District.

Join Steve Vegh at this  MLK event which also appeals to the taste buds. Just email him (stevenvegh@gmail.com) if you want to go and he will forward that info to Wesley.

Sound too good to be true?  Most online retailers have a 2-5% associates' fee they will pay to people who refer customers to their site.  It is not added to the purchase, but taken out of the company's profit.

General Fund Pledging
for 2018

Thanks to everyone who has pledged or already given!

$143,190 has been pledged so far, but we need to reach, at least, $155,940 to meet our budgeting goals.

As I'm sure you know, this new chapter in the life of Ghent Church is refreshing. But, it needs your financial support. Please pray for God's guidance about your annual giving. Place your pledge card in the offering plate.
