National Heights Baptist Church ~ E-News      June  2017
June means Vacation Bible School at National Heights. Scheduled for June 12-16, this exciting week will help children throughout the community learn that the Creator of our universe loves and cares for them. Our annual mission VBS at Villa Marie is scheduled for the next week, June 19-22 in partnership with Lifebuilders Ministries. Pray for our VBS leadership as they prepare for these important weeks of outreach.

Thank you for your continued giving to our Envision project. To date, you have given $ 111,164.08. Your giving helps us to fulfill our mission to reach future generations for the glory of Christ.

I can't wait to see what God is going to do through you!

Deacon's Corner
I've been chosen to write the DEACONS CORNER for this month, my first thought was what would I say and finally decide to tell you what a deacon of National Heights does...We SERVE our LORD JESUS, our CHURCH, and our FAMILIES. I count it as a great honor to be a deacon, I've held several jobs in this Church, from a Bible Study Teacher, Bus Driver, Janitor, and Youth Minister, but of all those jobs I take the Deacon one as the most important, because we get to minister to our people! I have a couple of verses that I like to tell people, one is Proverbs 3:27 it says "Do not withhold good from those whom it is due, when it is in your power to act" the other is Galatians 6:10 (this is the one I quote) it says "Therefore as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially those who belong to the family of believers"  just think if more people would live by those verses what a wonderful place this world would be. I hope you could see what I think what a deacon is? We're servants to God and his Church, which is you. If you ever have a problem, let your deacon know and see if he can help. Thanks for letting me share and in all things...I say to REJOICE!!!!  ~Chuck Haymes
