County Officials Participate With Partners In Caring
County Clerk, Mary Melfi, Sheriff Fred W. Brown, Freeholder Suzanne Lagay joined Store Manager Kris Santana and Barbara Wingell from the Flemington Food Pantry, to raise funds for the Partners in Caring program by bagging groceries at the Flemington Shop Rite.
Freeholders Making Economic Strategy A Reality
The Hunterdon Freeholder Board acted on two key recommendations of the County’s Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy (CEDS) at the September 5 th meeting, authorizing a County wide
Tourism Study and a Procedural Review pilot project with Clinton Town and
Clinton Township.

Freeholder Director John Lanza said, “The tourism study and the procedural review pilot project are both the needed underlying steps forward, if we are to enhance economic development in the County. This action sends a strong message to those who may invest in economic growth in the County that we are serious.”

On The Road Again
In an effort to make Freeholders Board Meetings more accessible to the public, the Hunterdon County Freeholders were on the road in Delaware Township on September 19.

Freeholder Director John E. Lanza said, “The hospitality of Delaware Township Officials made us feel welcome and the turnout from the community members confirmed the value of holding meetings in other municipalities. We plan on visiting other towns in the future and allowing the public continued access to their local representatives. Read more...
