"Children: The Bedrock of the Granite State," Presented by Emily Benson,  Tuesday, June 13th 5:30 pm, Ham Room, Free! 
The future prosperity of New Hampshire depends on our ability to steward the next generation who will live, work, and lead in our state. We now know that is directly related to positive early childhood experiences. Join Emily Benson, Public Health Advisory Council Coordinator for Carroll County Coalition for Public Health, for a presentation entitled "Children: The Bedrock of the Granite State".  

This program will explain the recent science behind brain development in the early years and lets interested community members and civic leaders know what we're doing in New Hampshire and what they can do to support our next generation of workers, parents and citizens, here in Mt. Washington Valley and beyond.

Scanning Photos and Documents for Generations to Come by Jeffra Kill , June 21st, 1:00 PM, Ham Room, Free! 
Presenter Jeffra Kill will share insight on organizing, scanning and preserving family photos, documents and records for a family tree.  Topics covered are an introduction to types of scanners, resolution, saving images, tips and techniques on how to scan, and ideas on how to share digital images.  Tips and techniques on scanning will be shared in a live demonstration using varied scanning equipment that is readily available to the public.
