Our Vision: We see Indiana as a place where all K-12 youth have access to high quality learning experiences beyond the school day that prepare them for success in school, college, careers, and life.
SUMMER CHALLENGE: Share Your Successes and Build Relationships with Policymakers!

Recent news around the 2017 and 2018 federal budgets and potential funding cuts critical to afterschool have heightened our attention around advocacy.  But, did you know that one of the most effective ways to protect afterschool funding is to keep your success stories in front of the eyes of your local and federal policymakers?  This summer, we challenge you to reach out regularly about the amazing work you are doing in your communities.

JUMPSTART: "Day of Action" 5 Minute Advocacy
On June 7, join the Afterschool Alliance for a national Day of Action to speak out about preserving essential afterschool funding in the Fiscal Year 2018 federal budget. As a group of brave kids takes to Capitol Hill to share how afterschool has helped them beat the odds, afterschool supporters from across the country will be calling up their representatives to say no, we can't afford to lose our afterschool programs.

Make sure phones on Capitol Hill ring off the hook with a loud and clear message that voters won't accept cuts to afterschool: RSVP now.

Nearly 2 million kids and their families could lose the afterschool programs they rely on. Show them you've got their backs: take five minutes on June 7 to make the phone calls that could make or break the battle to save America's afterschool programs.

RSVP on Facebook for a reminder to join the call-in day and for access to our free click-to-call tool, sample script, and tips for success.

Kick start more planning today with our Indiana focused  Advocacy Toolkit.
