Happy New Year!

Never have I been so happy to see the backside of one year and so apprehensive about the year to follow. I am a progressive liberal and there is precious little snow. Need I say more?!

Nevertheless, as the month of December was really pretty stellar, I did not end up in a state of total bah humbugishness! Herewith a link to the wonderful newspaper article about the party on December 8, published that day. https://www.aspentimes.com/news/local/basalts-toklat-gallery-serving-up-special-spirits/. Herewith also a link to Michael Kinsley's new paintings, celebrated that night along with spirits and tasty treats from the Mace kitchens.   http://www.toklatgallery.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/01/ToklatGallery-KinsleyPaintings-2017Dec.pdf

To cap off the year, I had lunch with four friends at Krabloonik Mountain Dining and Dogsledding. It was such a treat. Chef Reto Luzi's perfect rendition of my parents' wild mushroom soup and my father's favorite desert, Swedish Crème, were a wonderful way to welcome the New Year. So I can work my way through the menu, I think Krabloonik will be my go-to Sunday lunch place. The good memories have taken over and it is a delight to be there.  https://krabloonik.com/
