The Richmond Area Chamber of Commerce wishes you a very Happy New Year.

What a wonderful area to live in for inspiration. Wild life, antiques and nature are just a few of the many subjects for Carol's drawings. Some of you may have gone to her home for one of her annual art shows but these days Carol is kept busy in her home studio creating drawings that are made into blank note cards, gift tags and bookmarks. She also does commissioned requests and illustrates children's books in pencil, pen & ink, pastels, watercolor and oils.
You can also find Carol at many area art shows and stores where she has received ribbons, Best in Show and featured artist awards. She also teaches adults and students to create a piece of art of their choice that they can be proud of. With no formal training she enjoys sharing her many years of learning experience with others. Call her with your questions or interests at any time. Carol has over 150 drawings available for purchase at this time as well as home grown herbal teas packaged from her own garden.

Everyone should have received a mailing with information about our first ever Alpaca Races. This year instead of doing ice sculptures we are asking our businesses to get involved by sponsoring an alpaca to decorate and display at your business throughout the month of February, until the races at Maniaci's on February 24th. We have decided to promote the town of Richmond in February, not with one weekend but throughout the month. We're sure that our members will be doing special things with Valentine's Day and other events and we'd like to promote you. We will be compiling a list of where the action is and will post it on our website, Facebook page and on WGRT Radio.
We are also in need of raffle gifts for this event.

We've moved our office! After many years of being housed at the Verlinde insurance business, for which we are very grateful, we've decided to make a move. Our new home is at the Richmond High School. We are in room # 212 which is at the east end of the front hallway. We have an outside entrance (door #5) that opens out toward the student parking lot and designated parking spots for staff & visitors. We are excited about our decision and should have everything operational by
 January 11th.
