Dear Fellow OLSH Alumni, 

It's a busy time of year at OLSH!  The students (and teachers) are eager for summer and the calendar is packed with student events like the Honors Convocation, finals, the senior blessing and retreat, the traditional drive around the circle driveway, and, of course, graduation!

In a month, we will add 92 alumni to our ranks...making the OLSH alumni network more than 3,300 strong! Don't forget to share your #olshpride by sending us news of OLSH alumni accomplishments so we can share them with our fellow alumni, faculty, and staff.

Graduation Picture Social Media Challenge
Congratulations to Jill Ammon '92 who won the prom social media challenge last month! And thanks to all of the alumni who participated!

We're giving you another chance to pull out those high school photo albums and yearbooks this month with a graduation picture social media challenge. On Thursday, June 1 , post your favorite OLSH graduation photos with #olshpride!  All alumni who participate will be entered into a raffle for an OLSH t-shirt!
Lace up your running shoes! 
Bring the kids and join us on June 10, 2017, for a 5K race/1 mile walk through the OLSH campus! Kids under 8 participate for free and strollers are welcome!  We will have face painters, music, and other entertainment, making this a fun event for the whole family!

Register by June 1 to ensure you receive a t-shirt!   

Please remember that all proceeds of this race (including registration fees) will be matched by a generous donor.   If you're not a runner, you can still make a donation using the link below. 
BYOB Painting Party
Grab a bottle of wine and join fellow OLSH alumni for a painting party at OLSH on  Saturday, July 8 from 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm! Tara Zalewky-Nease '98, owner of Pittsburgh Paintings, will lead us in the painting of  a custom picture created from a photo of OLSH! Cost is $30 for a 3 hour session; payment can be made the night of the event but you must make a reservation prior to the event by calling (412) 424-4610 or emailing  dswank@olsh.org. The session is capped at 30, so make your reservation today!
Alumni Council Meeting
Any OLSH alumnus interested in participating in the Alumni Council is invited to attend our next  meeting on Tuesday, May 23 at 7:00 pm. We will be reviewing the alumni events/initiatives of the past year and discussing ideas for implementation in the year to come.   If you plan to attend the meeting, please RSVP to dswank@olsh.org by Friday, May 19.

Emily (Klein) Morris '95 was recently honored for 10 years of service with Teach for America. Emily started teaching as a corps member in 1999, has been on TFA staff 10 years as a teacher coach, and has been the Director of District and School Partnerships for 8 years.

Dr. Jessica (Woessner) Hoyson '02 was interviewed by WTAE after helping deliver a baby when the ambulance the mother was riding in crashed. Watch the video at http://www.wtae.com/article/ambulance-crashes-with-pregnant-woman-inside-as-dad-follows-behind/9219108.

Dan Waruszewski '05 will be ordained into the priesthood by Bishop David Zubik on June 24, 2017. For more details go to https://www.facebook.com/events/1948819318680008/.

Rachel Rattay '13 was the first female to receive the Outstanding Software Engineer Award at Penn State Behrend.

Rachel Osheka '14 traveled to Immokalee, FL, as part of an immersion experience sponsored by John Carroll University's Office of Campus Ministry during spring break. Immersion experiences challenge students to engage the realities of the world while reflecting on the values of human dignity and servant leadership.

Reunion News
The following classes have already begun planning for a reunion in 2017:

Class of 1962 - June 17, 2017 
The Class of 1962 will be having a reunion with a memorial Mass for Eileen and Eleanor Paul on Saturday, June 17. The event will begin with Mass in the OLSH Chapel at 11:30 am, celebrated by Fr. Tom Burke. A luncheon on campus will follow. Invitations will be coming soon. For more information, please contact Sr. Sharon Iacobucci at  smarysharon@feliciansisters.org.
