GW Cancer Center Releases Community Roundtables Year 2 Report: Bridging Cancer and Chronic Disease - The GW Cancer Center released the Community Roundtables Year 2 Report: Bridging Cancer and Chronic Disease. The report highlights the successes and also the challenges of the second of three annual community roundtables. These roundtables bring cancer, chronic disease and community stakeholders together to integrate efforts in Vermont, Florida, Kentucky and South Dakota. Learn more about the roundtables here .

GW Cancer Center Seeks Cancer Survivor Input - Do you know genderqueer, transgender, or female cancer survivors willing to share their experiences? We are conducting focus groups and interviews with survivors to inform the development of a cancer care provider training and patient education materials to promote culturally sensitive communication and patient engagement. We want to make sure that the perspectives and needs of diverse cancer patients are well-represented in this work, especially those with minority racial, ethnic, religious and sexual or gender identities. Please share our flyers about our education research study in both English and Spanish . Participant will be compensated with a $50 Amazon gift card following completion.

Raising Tobacco Awareness and Prevention in Asian American and

Pacific Islander Communities with RAISE

Reaching Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders through Innovative Strategies to Achieve Equity in Tobacco Control and Cancer Prevention (RAISE) is a network of national and local organizations that work together to prevent tobacco use and other cancer-related disparities in the diverse American, Native Hawaiian and Pacific Islander communities. RAISE is

one of eight networks supported by CDC's Office on Smoking and Health and Division of Cancer Prevention and Control to "advance commercial tobacco use prevention and cancer prevention." RAISE resources include webinars on tobacco cessation and research articles on cancer disparities.
