Maudslay State Park
Association
Many people find the open space in Maudslay State Park a real outdoor treasurer in the ever-developing landscape of Newburyport. The function of the Maudslay State Park Association, a 501c/3 organization, is to raise money through membership fees and donations, to maintain and improve the 483 acres of the park. With decreases in the state budgets, the MSPA contributes to many improvements in the park: the formal gardens, the spray shed, the iron gates and The Flowering Pond. Our projects are 100% supported through public memberships and donations, donations from local organizations and grants from DCR.
Projects we anticipate in the future are a monthly electronic newsletter that the will keep members informed of events in the park, flowers in bloom, birds sited and historical information. Other upcoming projects are the stone wall on Curzon Mil Road, the stone building by the formal garden and replacing the 150+ flowering dogwoods lost over the past four decades.
One can join the association or make a donation either through a check made out to MSPA and sent to our address below or on our
