RUMOR OF THE WEEK (
or: Myth Busting)
There is a misconception that it's too late to give input on school designs due to construction schedules. Please know that all schedules are tentative. At Hopi, for example, the original "shovels in the ground" date was June 1. It is now
tentatively set for July 1, in part due to changes made after the Hopi rebuild committee provided input.
There is also a concern that some schools are getting a lot of input while others are not.
ALL schools slated for rebuilds will have committees and community meetings to ask questions and provide input, as promised. The construction projects are being phased about six months apart, and community input is being sought in order of project. (
Hopi, for example, is first in the timeline and therefore has provided the most input so far.)
