Students travel to the Dominican Republic to treat patients

On a first-time dental mission to the Dominican Republic last month, RSDM students worked at a clinic near a sugar plantation, treating school children and orphans. The outreach program, in the village of La Romana, was a collaborative effort between World of Smiles, Fundacion Mir and Rutgers School of Dental Medicine with the support of Henry Schein Cares, the International College of Dentists and the New York Academy of Dentistry. Dean Feldman urges lawmakers to ensure that dental care stays covered

Dean Cecile A. Feldman called on New Jerseyans to demand that healthcare legislation keep pediatric dental care as an "essential" benefit. In an op-ed published Monday in NJ Spotlight, she also urged elected officials to expand healthcare plans to include mandated dental coverage for adults. LEARN MORE

RSDM has strong showing at ADEA

The theme of this year's 2017 ADEA Annual Session & Exhibition was Beyond Boundaries - an invitation for attendees to think outside the box. RSDM answered the call. Many faculty, staff and students presented at the event or won awards, making the exhibition, held in March, one of the most successful for the school. LEARN MORE

RSDM at Garden State Dental Conference and Expo

The Garden State Dental Expo, held May 6th and 7th at the Newark Liberty Airport Mariott and hosted by NJDA, will features two events sponsored by RSDM.

At "Toast the New Rutgers School of Dental Medicine Officers" visitors can join Dean Cecile Feldman as new officers are inducted into the RSDM Alumni Association. The event runs from 5:30 PM to 6:00 PM.

Following the Toast, RSDM will sponsor a dinner event featuring magic, mind-reading cocktails and a performance by Elektrosurge, featuring NJDA's Dr. Pete DeSciscio and his dental student cover band. Check it out from 6:00 PM to 10:00PM
