Dragon Tales
Weekly Newsletter
Dear St. George Families,
Words can build happiness! In his book, "Paths to Prayer," Bishop Robert Morneau, outlines ways and words that can lead to increased happiness at home. Parents should teach their children magic words such as "please," "thank you," and "excuse me." These positive words lead to positive feelings and relationships.
Other phrases such as "gimme," "its mine," "in your face," and "shut up" all lead to division and alienation. They are also words leading to confrontation and power issues.
As G.K. Chesterston wrote, "The test of happiness is gratitude." Teach your children the power of words and your home could be a happier place.
May God bless you and your family,
Jack Nelson

SPIRIT DAY THANK YOU!
The student body of SGS wholeheartedly thanks the members of our Home and School Association for a fabulous Spirit Day last Friday. Many thanks for their leadership in hosting a fun and spirit-filled day! We also extend a big thank you to our wonderful parents who volunteered for shifts, loaned tent(s), helped with set-up and take-down, donated candy and water, and purchased tuition raffle tickets. Our 8th graders enjoyed a memorable Louisiana Day the afternoon of Spirit Day. Many thanks to the 8th grade Louisiana Day committee volunteers and 8th grade parents for their food donations as well as helping to serve the delicious Louisiana inspired meal.
