News from the Shelter
We ended 2017 with a record number of adoptions in December!  We had a total of 61 kittens, teens, adults, and seniors who found their forever homes and loving families. This is a new record for CCS!

Our cats received new furniture in recent months with the acquisition of new perches and trees in the main shelter.  The staff has benefited also due to the generosity of volunteers and constituents.  Long time volunteer and supporter Brenda Johnson donated a new mini-fridge to the shelter.  Her husband contributed time and energy repairing doors and cabinets.  Another dedicated supporter and donor, Dan Pace,  put in a great door to the Outreach Director's office for us. Many thanks to the Johnsons and the Paces!

There were some very special adoptions in December.  These include Peyton, who is super shy and came to CCS after being deserted, and Darius, who has FIV( feline immunodeficiency virus).  And Maxx, longtime clinic office cat, also found his forever home.  We are so happy for these kitties!

Opt to Adopt Holly
Hi!  My name is Holly!  I'm a happy young lady who is looking for a safe and fun place to live.  I was found  wandering outside by a nice lady in the summer of 2017.  I was friendly,  because she was really nice, but I was a little scared.
She started feeding and taking care of me then, which I very much liked because sometimes it was hard to find food outside.  In December she brought me here to CCS, because she was worried about me being outside when it was so cold.  I really like being inside where it's warm.  These soft beds are amazing!  I love getting lots of attention too.  I'm still easily startled, especially by loud noises or people who move too fast.  But every day I get braver and happier!  One of the ladies here says I'm a total Hufflepuff.   It doesn't make a lot of sense, but it gets me a lot of ear scratches and some Temptations, so she can call me whatever she likes!  Come in and meet me today -  I'm ready for my new home!

Cat Care Society serves as a safe haven for cats experiencing homelessness, abuse or neglect. Since its inception in 1981, CCS has helped thousands of cats to heal from wounds, eat well, sleep well, learn to play and socialize with other cats, and generally be pampered as every feline deserves.

Our Nine Lives Legacy Society was established to give individuals and families the opportunity to partner with Cat Care Society ... to ensure that the cats in our care live all of their nine lives.  We invite you to become a member of the Nine Lives Legacy Society by naming Cat Care Society as a beneficiary in your will, living trust, life insurance policy, pension plan or charitable trust.
