Main Street Waterbury receives National Accreditation
Main Street Waterbury is pleased to announce that it has received national accreditation for meeting organizational performance standards set by the National Trust Main Street Center for the thirteenth year in a row. Working in partnership with Main Street America, Connecticut Main Street Center evaluates each of the state's Designated Main Street Programs annually to identify those programs that meet ten performance standards. These standards set the benchmarks for measuring an individual Main Street program's application of the Main Street Four Point Approach to commercial district revitalization. Main Street Waterbury firmly believes in the vision of Downtown Waterbury as a bustling and vital regional hub. Because of this, MSW works hard to promote the architectural and cultural assets of the city. CEO, Carl Rosa stated, "MSW is proud to have the distinction once again of being a nationally accredited program as we enthusiastically continue our work to achieve the goal of Downtown Waterbury as a destination in which to live, work and play.
