Commitment Sunday
Sunday, January 14
Our Commitment Sunday worship service provides a way for families and individuals to provide the church with helpful guidance for budgeting and ministry investment during 2018. Commitment cards will be in your worship folder this Sunday and on the 14th. The card is also available online to print out and submit on
our Finance webpage.

Student "Lumberjack Games"
Wednesday, January 10 | 7-9 PM
6th-12th grade students are invited to the "Lumberjack Games," which will be held in and around the CLC Youth Center. The cost is $5 and includes music, hot dogs, s'mores, hang-out time, all kinds of lumberjack games, contests, and more!
Donations needed: For the games, we need 6-10 Christmas trees (please deliver to the back yard of the Youth House) and we need to borrow 3-4 fire pits. Please contact Jan at [email protected] if you can help with either of these.

Women's Beach Getaway
April 20-22, 2018

Women's Winter Bible Studies & Small Groups
Registration is open for our women's winter/spring Anchor groups, Bible studies, and special studies. Please see the Women's Ministries page of our website for details and registration. Click on "Women's Bible Studies" or the "Anchor" links on the right margin for more information. We'd love to have you try something new, or join in where you have already found community, fellowship and encouragement in the Scripture!

Paid Childcare Workers Needed
Part-time employment opportunities are currently available at Christ Covenant Church for childcare providers. The pay is $10 per hour with a 2-hour minimum. The current need is for Tuesday mornings from 9:30 AM - 12:15 PM. Other days and times are occasionally available. For more information, please email Mindy Thornton or call her at 704-708-6133.

Roper Scholarship
Covenant Day School is accepting applications for its Roper scholarship, which covers up to 80% of a student's annual tuition. This scholarship is available only to Christ Covenant Church member families considering enrolling a new student for the 2018-2019 school year, who would also qualify for financial assistance. The deadline to apply for this scholarship is January 15, 2018. Please contact the CDS Admissions office at 704-847-2385 for more information or to pick up an application. ProjectSHARE January Collection:
Lily Pad Haven
Lily Pad Haven is a nonprofit organization that provides housing for survivors of human trafficking. They have a network of safe houses which can each house up to two guests. The guests are referred by government and non-government organizations that work with victims of human trafficking. Items can be dropped off at the Information Desk any Sunday in January. Missionaries of the Week: Sunday, January 7
Samy & Carol Foucachon (Paris, France)
Samy and Carol are planting a church in the 6th district of Paris, France.
Pray for a new venue for their church offices and services.
Pray for good follow up and many to begin attending church after the holiday activities.
Pray for times of rest and refreshment for Samy and Carol.
Joseph & Savannah Foucachon (Paris, France)
Joseph assists with the Paris church plant as the music director and Savannah with the organization and administration tasks.
Pray for their time home beginning in February to be a time of rest.
Pray that they would be able to raise support needed to return long term to Paris.

Our Budget
Thank you for your tithes and gifts to all of the ministries of Christ Covenant in 2017. As we are still receiving gifts in the mail that are postmarked before December 31 and want to be sure they are properly credited, we will celebrate the end of the year results of our congregational giving on January 14. We are blessed and excited by the preliminary reports, and are especially encouraged to be able to share these final 2017 budget numbers with you on January 14, as we pray for God's provision of our church family's financial commitment for 2018.
