Music Programs
December was a music-program-palooza! There were four programs over two days, and it was wonderful! Our 2-year-old, 3-year-old, and 4-year-old students dazzled us with their sweet, sweet voices, and our talented and extraordinary music teachers Mrs. Beilman and Ms. Joleen found incredible ways to charm our children into singing and dancing! The 3rd grade music program "Bugs" was delightful and funny and showed our kiddos' artistic talents!

It's Time to Personalize Your Child's Yearbook!
You can now add your child's name and grade to his or her yearbook, and then you will be able to sort through past yearbooks more quickly when you spend hours taking a trip down memory lane!

This is a great way to personalize your student's yearbook ---   not only will his or her name be on the cover, but you can also add up to four icons that hold special significance from this school year. Your child can choose a basketball, a football, a volleyball, ballet shoes, a music symbol, an icon for drama, and so many other wonderful options!

Please complete this personalization form, and return it with payment (checks made payable to FPS) to the front office or to Vicky Mantell by Friday, January 28, 2018.

Fairmont Prep Students Learn from Professionals in Silicon Valley
One of the wonderful teaching tools at Fairmont Prep is the collaboration between departments. On Wednesday, January 3 through Friday, January 5, International Business Program (IBP) Department Chair Mr. Massimini and Advanced Science & Engineering Program (ASEP) Director Mrs. Leslie took students from both programs to Silicon Valley to see firsthand what makes the Bay Area a unique place for technology innovation and entrepreneurship.

The students were able to tour, meet, and engage with engineers and executives from Facebook, KLA-Tencor Corporate headquarters, IBM Watson, and Apple. This opportunity is just another impressive way Fairmont Prep is making a difference in education by preparing students to succeed at college and challenge them to become exemplary citizens of a global society.
