Parents,

Tonight is Taste and Toast to Education, from 5 - 9 pm.  So many wonderful Walnut Creek establishments are joining the fun.  Pick up your coupon booklet at Jos. A. Friday, Murwood Arts for All is back with Middle Eastern Dance and Drums.  Thanks to our generous PTA for this exceptional program.  We have one more  experience,  in class Pop Art, at the end of the month.

Murwood Principal
From the Office

Green "Are You Returning" forms went home in your child's Wednesday envelope last week and were due Monday, 5/8.  If you have not turned yours in, please do so no later than Thursday morning.

We have a number of students being dropped off way too early in the mornings lately.  Please remember that children should not be dropped off at school before 8 AM. This is for the safety of your child(ren), as there is no supervision prior to this time and the gates to the fields are unlocked.  If this poses a problem, you can make arrangements with Keyspot for early drop off.

We also ask that you pick up your child promptly at 2:35 PM, as we also have a growing number of children still waiting for their grown-up at 3 PM.  Again, this is for their safety as the gates are unlocked and there is no supervision for them.  Keyspot can supervise only the students that are on their roster.  If your child walks home, please ask them to leave school grounds at dismissal.  Thank you for your help in keeping all of our little friends safe.
From the Murwood PTA

We have many spots left open for PTA parties, so come on down to Murwood and sign up for your choice of parties for students and adults.  Sign ups are posted on the bulletin board across from  the MPR doors.
News from WCI PTA

We invite the incoming 6th grade parents to hear the staff talk about WCI and to ask any questions at our next PTA meeting Wednesday May 24th 9:30 AM in the library (9 AM coffee & treats). We hope to see you there and welcome to WCI!
Honor an Extraordinary Volunteer

Do you know someone who has gone the extra mile for the Murwood community this year? It's time to nominate that person for an Honorary Service Award. The PTA seeks to recognize those in our school community who make a difference in the lives of the students at Murwood. If you know of a parent, teacher, staff member, or other community member who deserves this recognition, please click here to complete the nomination form. Nominations are due by May 12, 2017. They can be turned into the school office or emailed to Heather Houston [email protected]. Please contact Heather with any questions.
