rticipate in STEM activities while supporting t

becoming inspired to create a great project next year!

Room assignments were sent to participants this past weekend. If your student expects to be at the science fair but you didn't get an email about their project, please e-mail the Science Fair team.

Calling All Bakers!

Items needed for the Puesta del Sol Science Fair, 5/10.
 Put your chemistry skills to the test and whip up some items for the Science Fair Bake Sale on 5/10! If baking is not your thing, store bought also works for our budding scientists! If you can send something, please email Dena Voth at
denavoth@comcast.net.
We are looking for all kinds of treats; sweet and savory. Nut and peanut free, as well as other allergy friendly items are most welcome. Please individually bag items to sell for $1.
There will be a tub in the school office beginning on 5/1 to collect items. You are also welcome to bring them directly to the Science Fair.

 Come socialize with other Puesta families at our last Dining for Dinero fundraising event of the school year at Wayback Burgers (1645 140th Ave. NE) on Tuesday, 5.16 from 3-9pm. Bring in this flyer or mention Puesta and Wayback Burgers will donate 15% of all sales to Puesta del Sol PTA!

Please be on the lookout for a special email invitation this week!
 We would like to invite ANY and ALL of the many volunteers that have dedicated their time and commitment towards helping achieve our PTA Mission, which consists of supporting, reinforcing, enhancing and promoting our children's Spanish immersion experience and overall education, health and well-being throughout this past school year, to our annual PTA Volunteer Appreciation Evening.
This special event will take place in the evening during our May PTA General Membership Meeting.
Whether you were able to give a little or a lot of your time, we want to celebrate you! Please be on the lookout for a special email invitation coming out this week, and be sure to RSVP when you receive it.

PUESTA DEL SOL'S 30TH ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION KICKOFF

Welcome all alumni, past and present teachers, parents and friends of Puesta del Sol!
Join us Friday, 6/2 from 7-11pm at Vasa Park Ballroom Barn (560 W Lake Sammamish Pkwy SE, Bellevue, WA 98008).
Theme: 80's Summer Camp. Dress in your favorite camper or counselor attire (optional)!
Cost is $25 per person (must be 21 or older). Includes heavy appetizers, summer camp BBQ-style. There will also be music, DJ and other entertainment.

The PTA Web Team is seeking a Junior Web Content Editor. We will train you!
This position will learn to make updates to the PTA website this Spring and then take a more active role in late Summer/early Fall keeping website content up-to-date. The time commitment is ~2 hours/week, with some extra time needed the week before school starts, the first month of school, and on occasional website projects.
