MAY NEWS
May / 1 / 2017
Dear Family and Friends of Forest Hills,

Last month we were happy to host the Age-Friendly DC community engagement event. There are even more great programs and events coming up in May and June, so be sure to browse this newsletter to stay in the loop.

Now that we have our beautiful new dining rooms, Forest Hills is looking into a total renovation of our kitchen. Though we are still in the very early stages of exploring this project, I am confident that it will be executed with the same professional quality as the many other updates we've made to our community. Stay tuned for more plans and progress on this endeavor.

Speaking of progress: almost 1 year into our Pinnacle Customer Satisfaction Surveys and the responses have been very positive. I want to send a huge thank you to everyone who has taken the time to participate in a survey. Through your feedback, we are able to improve our efforts to provide the best care and service for our residents. If you have not yet received a call, I hope you will consider participating when contacted. Thank you again!

By now you should have received your official invitation to the 25th Annual Golf Tournament. This year's event will be extra special to honor the milestone anniversary, so you won't want to miss out. Read on in this newsletter for more information.

As always, it is my honor and privilege to serve you and your loved ones here at Forest Hills and Forest Side.

Looking forward to see you all around our community,

March 2017 Ceca Award Winner
Deborah Childs, Life Enrichment Coach

Congratulations to Deborah "Debbie" Childs on winning the March 2017 Ceca Award! Last month we celebrated her award at Forest Hills with some of the nice things people had to say about her:

"Debbie deserves to be recognized, as she took it upon herself to make art easels out of boxes for a fairly large group of aspiring artists. She even painted them to give them a more professional appearance for the Forest Hills art program, "Paint and Sip." To give the residents a subject, Debbie painted a beautiful fall tree watercolor for residents to use as an example. It was well received. Cheers!"

"Debbie and her team went above and beyond getting all prepared for the grand re-opening of the gift shop - with freshly painted walls and great artwork and other wall hangings. The Big Day offered delicious food and just down the hall was Jerry Roman entertaining on his keyboard! A good time was had by all."

Thank you to Debbie for all you do for our residents and our community!
