2018 NJHSA Conference |Unifying Our Human Service Voice
Sheraton Grand Chicago | April 29- May 1, 2018
Center for Innovation & Research

NJHSA's Center for Innovation & Research is in the development process and aims to be  an array of resources the Network could apply to help Members transform ideas and opportunities into actions through collaborations and partnerships with start-up companies, universities, foundations and corporations, philanthropists and government.
  • Next Steps
    To provide you with information relevant to the development of the Center for Innovation & Research, we created the following page on our website - https://networkjhsa.org/center-for-innovation. We will continuously update this page with links to relevant information, resources and training materials. If you have suggestions or questions, feel free to contact Reuben or one of the members of the Innovation Working Group.

    Guided by the principles of design thinking and entrepreneurship, we will engage with Members and their clients, create measured tests, and continuously consider lessons-learned.  Our goal is to build the Center based on the results of these efforts - incorporating what works and abandoning what doesn't.

    Based on feedback from leaders of dozens of Member organizations, our actions will fit within the following categories of Network assistance:
    1. Capture, curate and organize information;
    2. Pilot and test programs and technologies;
    3. Facilitate sharing of ideas, competencies, and data; and
    4. Apply the tools of design thinking, innovation, and entrepreneurship to discrete projects.

    We will provide you with a more detailed information on our progress at the April conference.

Network Partners

NJHSA partners are a valuable resource to your agency. Contact  Megan , Director of Marketing & Communications to connect and learn more.
  • Diversified Foods Inc. , a 2018 Launch Conference Sponsor, work directly with Jewish Family Service of Los Angeles and its SOVA Community Food and Resource Program. Fred Summers, Senior Director, has been purchasing shelf-stable milk from Diversified Foods for over a year now. The milk does not require refrigeration prior to opening, the cartons are resealable, it is much easier to distribute than the powdered agglomerated milk they had been giving out and the price is competitive. Diversified Foods is always easy to work with and their customer service is excellent. Sound like a great option for your agency's food pantry? Stay tuned for more on Diversified Foods as we near the April Conference.
