Board approves paving on sections of 10 roads
Asphalt paving on about 10.5 centerline miles was approved by the Washington County Board of Commissioners during its regular meeting Tuesday (May 16).
The annual overlay will include some pavement removal, vegetation trimming and pavement striping. Work is expected to begin shortly and is scheduled for completion by July 1.
The locations, identified using the Department of Land Use & Transportation (LUT) pavement management system, are as follows:
  • 72nd Avenue (Bridgeport Road to Tigard Road jurisdiction)
  • 113th Avenue (Cornell Road to Rainmont Road)
  • Baseline Road (Cornelius Pass Road to 231st Avenue)
  • Bridgeport Road (Lower Boones Ferry Road to Upper Boones Ferry Road)
  • Brookwood Parkway (Baseline Road to Cornell Road)
  • Cornell Road (Murray Boulevard to Bethany Boulevard)
  • Leahy Road (Barnes Road to 90th Avenue)
  • Leahy Road (90th Avenue to 107th Avenue)
  • Lower Boones Ferry Road (Bridgeport Road to Upper Boones Ferry Road)
  • Oak Street (72nd Avenue to Hall Boulevard)
  • Rosa Road (196th Avenue to 198th Avenue)
  • Scholls Ferry Road (west of railroad tracks to Murray Boulevard)
  • Scholls Ferry Road (Raleighwood Lane to Hwy 10)
  • Walker Road (Canyon Road to Hwy 217)
The paving is funded through the Washington County Road Fund.
