Thy Kingdom Come: Resources For Families and Individuals

Thy Kingdom Come, a "global wave of prayer" taking place across the Anglican Communion between   Ascension and Pentecost ( May 25 - June 4) for more people to come to know Jesus Christ, has put together a wonderful collection of resources for individuals and families who wish to use this sacred time to deepen their prayer life.

Thy Kingdom Come's resources for individuals and families focus on meditative forms of prayer such as prayer walking and games and activities to help engage children and young people by making use of the imagination. An overview of these resources can be found here .

Thy Kingdom Come's website offers a wealth of ideas, videos, and guides as well as an integrated social media campaign.

Thy Kingdom Come began in 2016 as a collaboration between the Archbishops of Canterbury and York for the Church of England, and grew into a global, ecumenical movement.  Sign the "Pledge2Pray" to let others know you'll be part of it.  Social media  handle:  @thykingdom_come

They work hard to ensure that every child who joins us walks away feeling loved and successful.

This year we'd like offer you the chance to "sponsor" a staff member by becoming a prayer partner with one of them for the summer of 2017.

What would be expected of you?
  • A willingness to pray regularly for the staff member assigned to you
  • Sending a piece of encouraging mail to your staff member once a week from July 2-August 18. It need be nothing more than a simple letter, letting them know you are thinking of and praying for them
  • Potential attendance at dinner one night during staff training to meet your staff member before the camp season begins

If you'd be interested in this ministry, please email Matt Cornish or call him at 860-567-9623.
