Belton ISD-2017 Bond Election
BISD grew by more than 3,000 students in the last decade and is projected to add about 3,600 students in the next ten years. As a result, elementary and middle schools will be at or near capacity by 2019 and high schools by 2021.  Roadmap to BISD 2025 is the plan to manage the  fast-growth school district.  Early voting began on April 24, and Election Day is Saturday, May 6.

Temple is a city in Bell County, Texas, United States. The City of Temple is located in the heart of  Central Texas on Interstate 35, 45 minutes north of Austin/Round Rock and 30 minutes south of Waco.  Its location along I-35 connects the community to the international markets of Mexico via Laredo and  three of the largest metro areas in Texas: Austin, San Antonio, and Dallas/Ft. Worth.
 
In addition to I-35, other major highways in the community include: US Highway 190, SH 36, SH 53 and  SH 95. Temple is within 180 miles of 80% of  Texas' population and the population within a 40 minute commuting range is 856,000.
