Introducing the Suter Family Scholarship Fund

We are happy to announce the Suter Family Scholarship Fund, created to provide an annual award to graduates at both DeKalb and Sycamore high schools. The award will honor the late Charles and Helen Suter, their love for education and learning, and the family's ongoing service to the community. Thank you to the Suter Family for their generosity in establishing this fund.

Thanks to donor generosity and the power of endowment, the DeKalb County Community Foundation is able to award $150,000 in Community Needs Grants this spring. As the 2016/2017 Youth Engaged in Philanthopy (YEP) year comes to a close, we are excited to announce that $11,588 in grants were awarded to six youth-serving community organizations in DeKalb County.

Thank you to the 1,789 donors, Community Partners, Media Partners, volunteers, and staff for making this giving day a great success! Together we raised over $400,000 in support for more than 75 nonprofits in DeKalb County.

Applications Available for Spinoso Masters Scholarship

Applications are now available for the 2017 Spinoso Masters Scholarship. Worth up to $10,000, this scholarship is intended for Masters level or post-undergraduate education. Applications are due by Friday, June 2. Thank you to John and Vivian Spinoso for making these scholarships possible.

Renaissance Scholarship Applications Available

Applications are now available for the 2017 Renaissance Scholarship. The scholarship is intended for students who were a part of the workforce and are seeking an undergraduate degree. Applications are due by Friday, June 30 . Thank you to Yvonne Johnson for making this scholarship possible!
