I have tons of good stuff for you this week. I rediscovered my studio after two weeks of intense plaster removal and painting and it is truly nice to just sit and think about sharing news with you.
First, my lead story looks at the latest release of Apple Compressor 4.3.1 - there's both good news and bad news here, so be sure to read the article. Then, as I was writing it, I saw some very weird behavior occurring when copying files between storage devices. This is one article that you
need to read.
One of the problems we had with the 4.3.0 release of Compressor was that it often would not successfully burn DVDs. Then,

Laurel Wood Images - sent me this tip:
In desperation today I went looking for a program to burn DVDs and found something in the Apple app store called miDVD, I bought the Pro version (only $10) and found I could bring in movies (it will do up to 16) straight from the master files and burn them quickly and easily; complete with a menu to let the viewer choose the movie to see. Of course, I'm strictly an amateur making movies for family and friends and I doubt this very simple program would be useful to a pro making serious films, but I thought you'd like to know about it in case others in my situation need a simple program to put more than one movie on a DVD.
