Dec. 19, 2016

Seven new articles this week, including an in-depth look at the new Touch Bar in the MacBook Pro. Plus, three new product launches, two product reviews and a look at automating Compressor. Lots of cool stuff this week.

And there is more good stuff coming later this week. I'm knee-deep (figuratively) in looking at whether the new MacBook Pro laptop is really fast enough for video editing. Plus, a product review of a new storage system from Highpoint Technologies and a closer look at the new Titler Pro 5 from NewBlueFX. There is so much new stuff going on that I couldn't get it all done in one week. So, expect new articles in the days leading up to Christmas.

Thinking of that, our webinars are taking a break for the holidays and returning on Wednesday, Jan. 4. If you have suggestions on what we should cover in the new year, drop me a note. It is always fun to hear from you.

The Digital Production Buzz had one of its best shows of the year this last week. We looked at creating live events and talked with the producers responsible for: the NAB Show, Cine Gear Expo, BVE - London, Miss America and the Critic's Choice events. These were fascinating interviews with some true movers-and-shakers in our industry and well worth your time. Thanks to all our guests for some great interviews.

Avid announced new products this last week. I have a write up for this newsletter and a detailed interview on The Buzz covering all the details.

We are in the final countdown for Christmas. Our tree is up and smells great. Though, uh, I should really start my Christmas shopping. But not to worry - there are still a few days left. I've got my list around here... somewhere. Until next week, edit well.

Ask Larry Anything!
This free-form and free-for-all session is a chance to ask anything and find answers.

There were so many questions, that we created two movies: one focusing on Adobe products and the other looking at Apple.
