Rep. Matthew Baker

Last week, Representative Matthew Baker (R-68), along with 17 of his colleagues in the Pennsylvania General Assembly
introduced House Bill 1309 ("HB 1309"), which would reverse Pennsylvania's longstanding support for the premium cigar industry, as well as the retail tobacconist and cigar bars that you have come to enjoy.
HB 1309 calls for sweeping changes to the Pennsylvania Clean Indoor Air Act. Included in the bill text, is language that would remove all exemptions for indoor smoking in the state, including premium cigar stores, premium cigar bars, private clubs, casinos and more.
HB 1309 represents an unprecedented attack on your ability to enjoy a premium cigar in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and must be defeated.
