I hope you are well - I'm writing to you from Marco Island, FL, where my wonderful family joined us to celebrate my 29
th
anniversary as a step-mom!
April's event on Applying for your ICF Credential - What You Need to Know, was an interactive conversation on navigating the application process. Helpful information from those who have made it though! Special thanks to Yana Blackwelder, PCC and Amy Bloustine, ACC for their time and expertise in putting this valuable presentation together for our members. Amy is putting together a guide for those applying through the Portfolio path and will make that available soon. Among her many talents, Yana is an ICF Assessor, and we value her contributions.
International Coaching Week (ICW),
will go from May 15 - 21, 2017. ICW is our coaching profession's annual week-long global celebration to help spread the word about coaching! For almost two decades, ICW has served to spotlight professional coaching's incredible contributions throughout the world, celebrate successes and envision coaching's future. ICW also serves as an incredible opportunity to spotlight coaches, who everyday promote the profession of coaching and, ICW's theme is Experience Coaching. In the coming weeks, the ICF NYC website will offer more information on ways to join in - here are just a few to get you started:
- ICF NYC 4th Annual Coach Salon, May 17 - 45 W 45th Street, NYC - featuring Dr. Pat Williams in a 60-minute presentation followed by a two-hour fabulous cocktail reception with passed appetizers, lots of yummy food choices and open bar
- Share Your Story - Create a 15 - 30 second video clip on the power of coaching to post on your LinkedIn, Facebook and twitter pages. We'll add it to the ICFNYC.org site, too!
- Social Media - go here to share your blog links on our social media pages: Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn
- Topics to inspire your thinking:
- What does it mean to be coached well?
- How do you clients measure success?

- What's been coaching's greatest impact on you? your clients?

International Coaching Week
Join ICF-NYC for a Presentation with Patrick Williams, EdD, MCC and BCC and a Coach Salon reception! Patrick will discuss living purposefully and the importance of courageous, emotionally transparent conversations. Many of us lock things that rarely get resolved in our mental dungeons, yet often we could move forward with conversations that pre-empt potentially painful interactions. Dr. Pat will share the means and methods for personal self-disclosure in an interactive experience. Watch Dr. Pat's welcome message here. Following the Presentation, enjoy an evening of cocktails and lively conversation as we celebrate International Coaching Week and the power of coaching. Our reception starts at 6:15 PM with an array of Passed Hors D'Oeuvres, Antipasti, Filet Mignon Carving Station, Pasta station, and an open bar!
