(Re)inventing Your Brand through Social & Digital Marketing
Digital Rochester hosts local marketers to present rebranding case studies
Rochester, NY - Digital Rochester's Digital Marketing Special Interest Group (SIG) is presenting (Re)inventing Your Brand through Social & Digital Marketing on Thursday, May 25, 2017. Held at Rochester Museum & Science Center, this event will show marketers, company owners, digital marketing professionals, and marketing agency professionals how to establish or reinvent a brand through social and digital channels.

Reinventing a brand can be a daunting task, but crucial to the growth and continued success of an organization. It provides the opportunity to reevaluate and solidify a company's core values, embrace current and upcoming trends, and step outside of the organization's comfort zone.

Local marketers will share informative case studies on how they successfully reinvented brands through digital and social media marketing. Event participants will hear from:
  • Micaela Contente & Scott Torrens, Sharp Notions

In March 2017, Sharp Notions helped Finger Lakes Health Systems Agency, one of the nation's oldest and most effective regional health planning organizations, become Common Ground Health by updating their brand across a variety of digital properties.

  • Marta Driscoll, Causewave Community Partners
Last year, Ad Council of Rochester rebranded themselves as Causewave Community Partners. It was a bold move for a non-profit organization that had 65 years of brand equity but an important transition to better align the brand with the role they play in the community.
  • Nicole Mahoney, Break the Ice Media
With help from Break the Ice Media, Visit Syracuse promoted their city as the "Official Home of Winter" using multi-media, PR, and digital marketing. They successfully went against the grain and embraced winter, the time of the year that had historically been considered off-season for tourism, through creative and fun promotions.

The event will begin with coffee and networking at 7:30 a.m. at the Rochester Museum & Science Center. Following the three case studies, there will be time for questions from the audience.

Tickets are $35 for nonmembers, $20 for members, and $10 for students. To register for the event, go to http://digitalrochester.com/event-calendar/#!event/2017/5/25/-re-inventing-your-brand-through-social-digital-marketing.
