COURSE OVERVIEW

Women of Influence, Transitioning the Workplace with Wisdom and Strategy is a powerful and highly engaging, two-day seminar customized specifically for women in supervisory, command and executive positions of leadership within law enforcement, corrections, and other public safety entities.   With continuous change happening at such a rapid pace, women in leadership must be prepared to step into their roles with confidence to navigate the unrelenting shifts taking place.   They must also be fully aware of the challenges they will face as well as be equipped with tools and insight on how to effectively overcome them. 

 It takes courage, perseverance, and fortitude to effectively lead others in today’s work environment.  Being a woman in authority within a profession that has been traditionally male dominated, certainly presents its own set of unique challenges which will be discussed during this training.   

 During this 2-day, No-Nonsense seminar we will focus on the following thought provoking topics:

• The Evolution of Leadership:  Leadership Then vs. Leadership Now
• Recognizing and removing the lids and caps that can diminish your efficiency
• Building a Successful Organizational Environment
• Influencing in a traditionally male dominated profession
• Managing critical conversations and difficult discussions
• Knowing Thyself:  Leadership traits unique to you
• Strategies, wisdom, and insight from successful women in leadership

 SEMINAR PRE-REQUISITE

Each registrant must complete a 10 minute online state-of-the-art assessment that will be reviewed on the second day of the seminar.  The personal link and password to complete your assessment will be sent approximately 10 days before the seminar start date. 

INSTRUCTOR:  Lisa Gilbert, BS, CPBA, CPMA, CPTA, CPDA. CPEQA and CEO of No-Nonsense Training Solutions, is a graduate of the Florida State University with a B.S. in Psychology.  She holds certifications as a Certified Professional  Behavioral Analyst, Certified Anger Management Specialist. and an Adjunct Professor with Broward College Institute of Public Safety.   She has successfully trained and coached hundreds of LE personnel both sworn and civilian staff, and command staff personnel for over a decade.   

Cancellation Policy:  Class registrations are not confirmed until payment is received in full.  Enrollees may cancel 14 days prior to the training and will receive a refund of the registration fee less $75.00 for processing fees.   Deadline to cancel and receive refund for this class is March 21, 2018.   We will gladly accept substitutions at no cost for those that cannot attend.  However, if the original attendee completed the assessment, the person replacing them will have to pay the full price for the seat.
