People's Climate March
Washington DC
April 29th

What a day! What a week leading up to the day! I was honored to join over 200 UCC folks in the Keepers of Faith contingent at the People's Climate March in Washington D.C. We were joined by about 200,000 others there, and another 100,000+ at over 350 sister marches around the world. Here's my report from my two days of witness in D.C., which includes links to photo albums.

For another perspective, please read the UCC article written by Connie Larkman

The People's Climate Movement released a great video of the day as well - get ready to feel inspired!

Environmental Ministry Speakers Bureau

How are YOU going to (continue to) contribute your gifts towards building a just and sustainable future? I have received several requests from churches to speak about environmental justice issues. I could use helpers to respond to the increased demand! Are you passionate about environmental issues, and feel called to speak out and educate others? Contact Pam Arifian to join a Speakers Bureau. Thank you for sharing your gifts and passion!

Silver Lake camp is awesome, and played a central role in my faith formation and in sowing the seeds of my environmental ethic. Encourage the children in your life to sign up as a camper (we call them conferees), or as a volunteer counselor for summer 2017. Check out the brochure to find the right week(s) for the kid(s) in your life!

Don't miss the Open House on May 21st from 2:00 - 4:00 pm! Come meet some of the staff and volunteer program leaders, make a s'more, go on a hayride and a tour of camp to get acquainted. Bring friends!
