The fictional  Netflix series "13 Reasons Why" continues to gain visibility, interest, and concern for its handling of suicide. We've got resources and information for educators, parents, and youth about how to stay connected and stay safe.

Suicide Prevention Advocacy Day

Salem, OR -  On April 19, we were pleased to support our Board Member Dr. Patricia Buehler for what we hope will be the first annual Suicide Prevention Advocacy Day. The day was marked by 762 chairs on the capitol lawn representing the lives lost to suicide in 2015; a legislator luncheon; and a program with legislators, speakers, stories, and poetry calling us to continued action.

Our Oregon Coalition for Responsible Use of Meds did it again - convening another successful event aimed at identifying local challenges and developing action plans to reduce opioid abuse, misuse, and overdose in the region.
